The Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Sunday that an Israeli troop force attempted to infiltrate an area east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The statement noted that the Israeli army once again used rescue trucks to carry out special operations in densely populated Palestinian areas.

Once the troops entered one of the houses, the Qassam militants “engaged them at close range”.

The statement concluded that the clashes resulted in the death or injury of all members of the Israeli army.

“When the troops reached the project junction east of Rafah and entered one of the houses, our fighters engaged them at close range using small arms and anti-personnel mines, resulting in the death or injury of all members of the troops.

“The Qassam Brigades used short-range rockets to bombard enemy forces that invaded the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood and its headquarters on the Netzarim axis in southern Gaza City.”

“We bombarded Zionist enemy positions in the Al-Abd Jabr, Al-Tu’ma and Al-Asi tower areas southwest of Ibna camp in Rafah city with standard 60mm mortar shells.

“We fired several mortar shells at Zionist enemy soldiers and vehicles stationed in and around the Rafah crossing.

“We bombarded the enemy command headquarters at Abu Orebban location on the Nesarim axis with Ababil explosive bombs and large-caliber mortar shells.”

“On Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 10:45 a.m., the fighters of the Islamic Resistance Movement attacked Israeli enemy deployments near the Hadab Yarim base using rocket weapons.

“At 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024, the Islamic Resistance Movement fighters launched an airstrike using a fleet of attack drones on the newly established headquarters of the 91st Division in Ayelet, targeting the positions of officers and soldiers of the division, causing confirmed casualties.
