Glaucoma test with 99% accuracy to be launched in Singapore

According to Zheng Qinglin, founder and CEO of Mindplus AI Limited, the above four eye diseases account for three quarters of all eye diseases in Hong Kong. Through early eye disease screening and AI diagnostic technology, it can help young people detect eye diseases early and reduce the long-term burden on the medical system. The AI solution has been patented, with an average accuracy of 97%, and an accuracy of up to 99% for glaucoma.

Zheng Qinglin continued that the software can be installed on a laptop and processed offline to protect patient privacy. In terms of processing speed, the fastest test results can be obtained in 0.03 seconds. Currently, it has been trialed by five local optometry centers, with an annual fee of US$25,000 (approximately HK$195,000). The next step is to enter the Singapore market.

Black Soldier Fly Food Waste Machine processes one ton of food waste per month

WEI FOOD SHOP COMPANY LIMITEDIt is an environmental technology start-up that combines black soldier flies, AI and IoT technologies to develop a modular recycling system using plastic pallets. The company’s founder, Chen Wenhui, mentioned that each machine can process one ton of food waste per month. Based on a housing estate with a population of more than 20,000 people, about 6.6 tons of food waste is produced every day, and a reserved space of 200 square feet is sufficient for processing. Chen Wenhui added that the company will soon cooperate with Link REIT (00823) to collect commercial kitchen waste for testing and exhibit it in the “Sustainable Future Pavilion” for 8 months. Black soldier flies are rich in protein and can be refined into biodiesel after their life cycle ends. In the future, we plan to cooperate with local farms to use black soldier flies as crop fertilizer.
