The Nablus Mothers’ School Association launched the “Our Steps Are Firm” project, which falls within the framework of the human rights empowerment program pursued by the association, with the support of the Minority Rights Group (MRG) and funding from the European Union.

Basma Shrem, director of the “Our Steps Are Steady” project of the Mothers’ School Association, said that through the project, Israel’s violations against Palestinian women will be monitored and recorded in accordance with international monitoring and recording standards.

Shrem explained in an interview: Raya Media NetworkThe project made a significant contribution by shedding light on the problem of violations committed by colonialists and armed settlers in the West Bank.

This is in light of the genocidal war in Gaza, where these violations are rapidly escalating, by providing community protection units and human rights defenders with knowledge related to advocacy and monitoring and documentation of violations.

Shrem stressed the importance of monitoring and documenting the fundamental dimensions of Israel’s violations of Palestinian women’s rights, most notably the right to political self-determination and freedom from occupation, by using international pressure and advocacy tools to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to respect Palestinian individual and collective human rights.
