Kyrgyz nomadic traditional festival held in Atbash

AKIPRESS website – A national festival in honor of the traditions of Kyrgyz nomads was held at the Bosogo ranch in the Atbashi district of Naryn region.

The festival begins with theatrical performances on the significance and history of Kyrgyz nomadism, traditions of sending the bride and meeting nomads, and exhibitions of national dishes.

The festival brought together improvisers, pop singers, craftsmen, designers and artists from Kazakhstan, as well as experts from the National Heritage Protection Department of UNESCO (France).

The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy allocated 500,000 som to the festival’s prize fund.

Sponsors provide livestock as prizes for winners of national sporting competitions.
