The EU supports the computerization of the Grand Island Court of Justice as part of the digital transformation project Modernization of the Madagascar Judiciary through training and deployment of modern software solutions.
The courts of first instance and the administrative and fiscal courts are equipped with three software programs:
- ILO, Solutions to make operational procedures more dynamic at the administrative court level (6 jurisdictions);
- LogiPenal, to increase transparency and efficiency in criminal proceedings (TPI or 6 courts of first instance);
- InfoTF, software for processing and analyzing taxes, including property taxes; the solution allows for in-depth analysis of taxpayer profiles (6 financial jurisdictions).
The financial assistance is intended for the implementation of the software and its updating, as well as for the training of 100 magistrates and court clerks.
Three certified Malagasy magistrates are now recognized as accredited software trainers. The training for outgoing ENAM magistrate students lasts three days, while the training for staff lasts two days.
