Tegucigalpa – In recent hours, Foreign Minister Eduardo Enrique Reyna thanked the governments of the United States and the Bahamas for continuing the search for the four Hondurans missing in a shipwreck in the Caribbean Sea.
Reina confirmed through her social network account “X” that three Hondurans were rescued: Samoon Pandy Tennyson, Aristides Dormo Suazo and Selvin Enrique Figueroa Montero.
He added that they had a video call with the rescued people to learn about their situation and would return to the country on Tuesday, July 16, in San Pedro Sula.
However, he recalled that four people were still missing: Vincent Felix Punch Funes, Vincent Samir Punch Aguilar, Marco Armando Bernardes Guti Punch and Gabriel Jackson Granville.
In this sense, he said he was in permanent contact with the relatives of the missing.
He thanked the Bahamian and American governments for the support of the Bahamian Naval authorities and the United States Coast Guard in the continued search for the four missing persons.
Reina confirmed that President Xiomara Castro is following up on the issue and that she will be permanently informed.
The Honduran diplomat said he was coordinating with the merchant fleet and the company that owns the ship to investigate the sinking. silver
