1,524,223 GEL Tax Evasion – Company Director Arrested – Investigation

According to the Ministry of Finance’s investigation department, one person was arrested for intentional tax evasion.

“The investigative action carried out by the staff of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in particular the facts of intentional tax evasion, led to the arrest of one person.

The investigation established that the accused, who is the director and actual owner of one of the companies, systematically misdeclared his income in violation of tax laws in order to obtain illegal material benefits, and in whatever way, he deliberately evaded the main income from taxes belonging to the state budget – in the amount of 1,524,223 GEL” – reads the statement issued by the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Finance.
