Biologist Vitaly Nabolov, associate professor at the Russian University of Pedagogy, announced that it is absolutely not allowed to eat yellow watermelon with dairy products.

He said: “The characteristic of yellow watermelon (cantaloupe) is that it is low in calories, with about 35 calories per 100 grams, but it contains a lot of vitamin C, beta-carotene, and vitamins B, PP, and E.”

. It is also rich in mineral elements: potassium, iron, silicon, etc. Watermelon fruit also contains antioxidants. 300-500 grams of watermelon can be eaten per day, but a serving should be limited to 200 grams. It is generally considered that yellow watermelon is a “heavy” product, but it is enough to follow a few rules to avoid adverse reactions – it is not recommended to eat yellow watermelon on an empty stomach, before meals and immediately after eating other foods, and in no case is it allowed to be consumed with dairy products.

According to him, yellow watermelon is harmful to people with diabetes, aggravated gastrointestinal diseases, allergies and intolerance.

Scientists recommend that when buying a watermelon, pay attention to the rind, which should be free of tears and damage. Its color should also be uniform, except for the soil. As for the “tail” of a dry or soft watermelon, it indicates the time that has passed since the harvest, not the degree of maturity as some people believe.
