Is the hostility between PAS and UMNO a political stunt?

Politicians can change their stance at any time to suit their own interests. It is foolish to say that PAS and UMNO can never work together again.

There is another factor that needs to be considered, which is how will UMNO respond to PAS joining the coalition government?

It seems that all parties are willing to come together, but certain conditions must be met.

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was the first to sound the warning, saying the country’s oldest and largest Malay party would not ally with PAS as long as Abdul Hadi Awang remained the party’s president.

Zahid, who is also Barisan Nasional chairman, cited his past experience working with Hadi, pointing out his volatility and inconsistency.

PAS countered that it would not cooperate with UMNO as long as Zahid was its president.

But all of this is just a political stunt, as the two parties have worked together before.

Despite the apparent quarrel, it is possible that this could happen again.

This is because politicians put their own needs above the needs of their supporters.
