Why is the international community unable to do anything about this? Does an event shared on Instagram help? What does an international court actually do?
NRK foreign affairs editor Sigurd Falkenberg met with Mickelson in Nyhetsmorgen on Thursday morning to answer audience questions about the war in Gaza.
Many people wondered why NRK’s coverage of the war looked different than on social media.
– On social media, there are no filters to distinguish what is real and what is not. We spend a lot of time and energy to find out what is true and what we can show. There are also journalistic ethics considerations that social media doesn’t care about, but are very important to us. It’s about taking care of the vulnerable and not exposing children to unnecessary exposure. Without such facts, we are showing the horrors of war.
Mickelson answered the question from 10.30am
