Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett said the local tourism product had proven resilient following the passage of Cyclone Beryl.
Speaking at the opening of Christmas in July on Thursday, Mr Bartlett said there were no visitors on July 2 and 3.
But since July 4, the day after the hurricane, 55,000 tourists have traveled to Jamaica.
The minister praised the tourism industry’s ability to recover and said 80 percent of the country’s assets were still intact after the storm, so tourists were welcome to come.
The show’s tenth venue moved to the National Zone, with a total of 205 exhibitors, 105 of which were new.
Mr Bartlett said by 2023, the fair would see more than $25 million in transactions.
‘Christmas in July’ provides an opportunity for businesses to showcase locally made gifts and crafts and take orders for Christmas or the period leading up to Christmas.
