A 36-year-old man was hacked to death in Trinityville, Font Hill, St. Thomas on Wednesday.

He was identified as Cornel Phillips, unemployed, from the Font Hill area.

It is reported that around 9:40 a.m., Phillips had an argument with another man. The man left and returned with a machete, using the machete to slash Phillips all over his body.

Phillips died from his injuries and the man fled the scene.

Trinityville police are investigating.
