In an interview with TBN, NDP MP Melvin Bouva described VHP MP Cedric van Samson as Black Prince, Black Servant, Slave or DonkeyThis was in response to Van Samson’s remarks that a Hindu would never become president of the NDP.

Van Samson said last month that this is why Ashwin Adin has no chance of becoming the NDP president. According to him, it is because the party has been fed a gut feeling.

Bouwa believes that this is nonsense and rubbish and that the National Democratic Party (NDP) has proven to be a reflection of Suriname and Surinamese people.

“Then you probably have to go to school to know what reflection means. So let the good gentleman leave the NDP alone. We have nothing to prove to him. This society has seen many times that the NDP does things for everything and everyone across the country. We installed sports fields in Saramacca, Commewijne, Pointe des Sonnes and Menkendam. Roads have been repaired and parcels have been delivered,” said Bois.

Bois said it should not be forgotten that during the New Democracy government, Hindu Adin served as Suriname’s vice president. That was the second-highest official in the government.

“So it’s the Hindu brothers of the NDP, right? The same goes for the NDP faction leaders.

Mr. Van Samson is now with the VHP, so let him handle the VHP. If all kinds of people want to stand there, do their thing, and treat him like a black prince, black servant, slave or donkey, that’s his choice“, said Bois:
