Saudi-Austrian committee concludes joint work at ninth session

In the Austrian capital of Vienna, the work of the 9th Saudi-Austrian Joint Commission was concluded, with the participation of a delegation representing 22 government agencies, led by the Minister of Economy and Planning, His Excellency Mr. Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ahrar. The two-day work of the Commission focused on a series of discussions, bilateral meetings, and field and cultural visits, in addition to the holding of the…Austrian-Saudi Investment Forum.

The Saudi-Austrian Joint Committee meeting was chaired on the Saudi side by Al-Baraa Al-Iskandarani, Deputy Minister of Planning for Economic Affairs and International Economic Affairs, and on the Austrian side by Florian Frewacher, Director General for Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics.

The focus of the ninth meeting of the committee was to discuss strengthening economic cooperation and common development between the two countries, including the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics. It aims to diversify and strengthen economic ties, including economic models, exchange experiences and information, and encourage cooperation in trade, industry, research and development, tourism, small and medium-sized enterprises, and some areas of common interest.

Since its establishment in 2004, the Saudi-Austrian Joint Commission has contributed to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in multiple areas.
