Funeral services for Garnet Newbold, 75, of Doubloon Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama, formerly of Orange Creek, Cat Island, will be held at New Canaan Zion Baptist Church, Balao Road, Freeport, Grand Bahama, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Washington Williams will officiate and burial will follow at Grand Bahama Memorial Park, Frobisher Avenue.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his sons, Stephen Newbold, Garnet Newbold Jr., Kelby Newbold, Shawn Newbold, Gregory Newbold, Kevin Newbold, Tom Newbold, Omar Russell, Orville Russell; daughter, Vera McKinney, Brickell; grandchildren, DeAngelo, Garniquia, Paula, Destiny, Garnell, Darven, Stesha, Stephen Jr.; brother, Reynald(Gwendolyn), Nelson, Freddy, Edward (Guerlise) Newbold; sisters: Alice Stuart, Dorothy Anne, Emily and Denise Newbold; nieces and nephews: Michelle, Ricardo, Ethlyn, Neil, Kero and Shantea Newbold. Friends and family may pay their respects to the deceased at the Jager Funeral Home and Crematory, Queens Highway, on Friday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm or at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of services.
