Addis Ababa, July 10, 2024 (Address) Ethiopia Telecom announced an annual profit of 21.79 billion birr for the 2023/24 fiscal year (up 108.7%).
The telecom giant reported total revenues of 93.7 billion birr, or 103.6 percent of its full-year plan.
At the end of this fiscal year, Ethio Telecom had over 78.3 million customers, of which 75 million were voice service users and 40.4 million were Internet users. The largest telecommunications service provider is said to have paid 29.76 billion birr in income tax.
In addition, the company said that 124 of the townships already have 4G network services and 5 townships have 5G services.
