NATO announced the establishment of a security assistance and military training mission for Ukraine.

“It has been decided to establish the NATO Security Assistance and Training Organization for Ukraine (NSATU) to coordinate the provision of military equipment and training to Ukraine by allies and partners,” the document said.
The statement noted that its goal is to provide security assistance to Ukraine by ensuring expanded, predictable and sustained support.
The mission will operate in the Allied country in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
The document emphasizes that the National Security Union of Ukraine will not allow NATO to become a party to the conflict – it will support the transformation of Ukraine’s defense and security forces and ensure its further integration with NATO.
