Thirty-six employees of Rajendra Food City Supermarket were rewarded for their long service during the supermarket’s 60th anniversary celebrations and the founder’s 80th birthday in Lautoka last week.
CEO Gitanjali Prasad said the celebration was a significant day in both her professional and personal life.
She said: “Today (June 25) is the 80th birthday of my father Mr. Rajendra Prasad.”
“Plus, we are celebrating his 60th anniversary in business, a company he founded with his cousin – 60 years ago, on January 6, 1964.”
Corporate executives and stakeholders also attended the celebrations.
