Conakry, July 9 (Xinhua) — The Guinean Ministry of Health and the 30th Chinese medical team to Guinea officially unveiled the vascular surgery department at the China-Guinea Friendship Hospital in Conakry, the capital of Guinea.
At the launching ceremony held on Monday, Chinese Ambassador to Guinea Huang Wei spoke highly of the contribution made by the Chinese medical team and expressed China’s willingness to deepen cooperation with Guinea and add new impetus to the China-Guinea comprehensive strategic partnership.
Mohamed Diane, director of the China-Guinea Friendship Hospital, said the new operating room will help better manage cardiovascular diseases in Guinea, as Guinean patients often seek treatment abroad.
At the opening ceremony, the 30th Chinese medical team donated medicines and medical supplies to the hospital’s neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery and other specialties.
