Japanese rugby coach Eddie Jones wants Maori All Blacks rematch to take place soon

Japan rugby coach Eddie Jones is eager to take on the Maori All Blacks again as early as next year.

“But we have to play in the hottest place in Japan,” he joked in his post-match press conference.

Earlier, Japan won a historic 26-14 victory over the Maori All Blacks in a match held in 36 degrees Celsius at Tokyo’s Toyota Stadium.

“This win is a major milestone for Japanese rugby,” Jones said. “We have never beaten the Maori All Blacks before.”
