Gikumbi: They have proved that Kagame is God-given and he should continue to lead them

He made the announcement on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, as members of the RPF-Inkotanyi from Gicumbi and Rulindo regions were campaigning for their candidate, President Paul Kagame.

Mukawego commended the former RPA/Inkotani troops who stood with them and guarded them during the country’s liberation struggle.

He said the love shown to them by the RPA/Inkotanyi troops put them in debt, but in gratitude to Inkotanyi for their kindness, he decided to become a guardian angel and is now raising four children who have lost their physical parents.

He said: “I used to think with my family about what to do with Inkotanyi, but I couldn’t find it. When the guardian angel came, my boss and I took the lead in raising the country. I stood up and told them that I have ten children, including six children born to me and my husband, and the children I take care of as a guardian angel, and the oldest is already in the first year of college.

Another thing is that he opened a bank account for one of the children he was raising so that he could support himself when he was unable to take care of them.

He praised the Green Gicumbi project, which helped them build terraces so they could grow healthy crops, which helped them reforest the hills and grow tea.

Mukawego, who once lived in a wooden hut with a thatched roof, has now been able to build a 65-room wooden house with electricity and water, and uses biogas for cooking.

After receiving training in modern breeding, he now grows cattle grass and sells it to other farmers from across the country.

She said, “I thank my husband for turning a deaf ear to his brothers who told him that he would not come back with me once I studied, but he turned a deaf ear to them. I didn’t know that the cow was so full, the cow that was given to me now drinks a lot of milk.”

He established five groups of 165 farmers who knew how to raise hay, so he and these farmers set up a company to sell hay to increase their productivity, and their goal also included building a barn and a grinder so that they could have more hay.

Mukawego said Kagame was a gift from God and therefore he should lead. He said: “Mr President, let God give him and let him lead.”

The people of Gikumbi also praised the model village they built, the water, electricity, schools and clinics they received.
