Al-Ittihad begins preparations for post-Louis Nazaire era

Arrangements were made within Al-Ittihad and the club’s administrative functions were developed following the resignation of Louay Nazer, the club’s president, who was the president of Al-Ittihad Club Company, who held the position. The president had raised a huge surprise when he tendered his resignation at the end of June last year over matters that affected his powers as president.

On the other hand, Al-Ittihad Club announced through its official account “X” that several players of the club’s women’s football team, led by Moroccan national team midfielder Salma Amani, have left and expressed their gratitude to them.

The non-Saudi trio: Jordanian goalkeeper Malak Shank, Syrian striker Noor Mustafa and Ethiopian Dania Desta are also on the list.

The four Saudis on the list include Al-Hati, Raghad Ghandoura, Rahaf Hazmi and goalkeeper Haifa Fahd.

Last summer, in 2023, Al-Ittihad signed Syrian player Noor Mustafa from Scottish Hibernian and Moroccan player Salma Amani after finishing the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with the national team. Last season, the Saudi women’s football team ranked sixth with 20 points.
