The UAE Cancer Society, in collaboration with the Blood Bank Services, organised a blood donation drive in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, which the Society’s management said was a great success with 165 blood units collected. Dr. Sheikh Salim bin Rakkad, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, said that the Society’s regular blood donation drives throughout the year are aimed at supporting patients in need of a drop of blood.
