Netavan Akhmedova’s daughter was shot dead during her father’s annual ceremony.

His brother, Nurlan Asgarov, was detained as a suspect.

On May 27, some facts came to light about the murder of 44-year-old Natawan Akhmedova at her home in Yukaritala village of Zagatala district.

Milli.Az cites publika.az as reporting that while there were reports that N. Ahmadova was a teacher, it was confirmed that she was a librarian at the library of the village of Chudulbina in the Zagatala district.

It is worth noting that the incident was allegedly committed out of jealousy. According to reports, Natawan Akhmedova came to her parents’ house to attend the 25th anniversary of her father’s death, and 35-year-old Nurlan Askerov shot her sister in front of the guests.

It turned out that the perpetrator of the incident, N. Asgarov, was a drug addict. He had a criminal record and wore an electronic bracelet. N. Asgarov previously lived a life full of convictions.

Natavan Ahmadova was seriously injured and died on the way to the Zagatala Regional Central Hospital (RMX).

It is understood that at around 22:00 on May 27, the District Prosecutor’s Office received news that Netevan Ahmedova, born in 1980, died of gunshot wounds in the village of Yukaritala in the Zagatala district.

During the investigation, it was reasonably suspected that Nurlan Askerov, born in 1989, deliberately shot and killed his sister Netavan Ahmadova during a dispute.

In this regard, the Zagatala District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a criminal investigation under Article 120.1 of the Criminal Code (intentional murder). Nurlan Asgarov was arrested as a suspect in the case.
