Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Moscow

Central Asia (CA) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Moscow and his plane landed at Vnukovo Airport, TASS reported.

Modi’s visit to Moscow on July 8-9 will be his first foreign trip during his third term as chief minister. The Kremlin had earlier announced the significance of Modi’s visit.

According to The Economic Times, Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin will also discuss the transfer of funds between the countries during the upcoming meeting. Bloomberg sources reported that the president and prime minister may sign an agreement related to “military logistics.”

The Prime Minister himself said he hopes to discuss various regional and global issues with the Russian President.

Modi last visited Russia in 2019 to attend the Far Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. Modi has not visited Moscow since 2015.
