Three teenagers were attacked by Brazilian bees at a location on the morning of Sunday, July 7, 2024. They were stung by bees all over their bodies. The three victims were taken to the emergency department of the Paramaribo University Hospital for treatment.
Police from the San Boma Police Station found two teenagers. One of the victims, DN, had multiple bee stings on his face, while the other victim, GN, had stings all over his body.
According to residents who were also at the scene, another person was stung by bees in the forest. As the person was still being attacked by Brazilian bees, the police were unable to get close to him. The fire brigade received a call for assistance and took the victim UA to a safe area upon arrival.
According to the Police Public Relations Department, little is known about the condition of the third victim, who was also the worst affected.
