Charlotte (USA) – Uruguay postponed its flight from Las Vegas to Charlotte (North Carolina), originally scheduled for this Sunday, where they will face Colombia in the Copa America semifinal on Wednesday.

The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) reported that “due to problems with the plane carrying the delegation, the flight could not take place”. The team now plans to stay in Las Vegas (Nevada) for another night and leave for Charlotte tomorrow.

La Celeste eliminated Brazil on penalties in the quarter-finals yesterday in Las Vegas.

Their opponents for Wednesday’s game, Columbia, also flew from Phoenix (Arizona) to Charlotte today.

The semifinals will be played at 8:00 pm local time on Wednesday (00:00 GMT Thursday) at the U.S. Bank Stadium, normally home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.

The two teams will play the winner of Argentina and Canada in the final in Miami on Sunday.

The defeated team will remain in Charlotte, where it will play the third-place game on Saturday.
