The latest survey conducted by the International Consulting Services (ICS) between June 25 and July 2, 2024, shows that President Nicolás Maduro has 56.9% of the vote, beating his closest challenger Edmundo González, who has a cumulative 24.7%.
The field study was conducted with a sample of 2,000 interviews in 20 states of the country at a confidence level of 95%.
Calculations show that 41.0% of people believe that the economic situation has improved compared with last year, 30.1% believe that the economic situation remains the same, and 25.9% believe that the economic situation has worsened.
Regarding participation in the presidential election on July 28, 62.6% of respondents said they would definitely vote. Nicolás Maduro remains in the lead with 56.9%, followed by Edmundo González with 24.7%, Javier Bertucci with 4.8%, Claudio Fermín with 3.9%, Antonio Ecarri with 3.1%, Benjamin Rausseo with 2.9%, Luis Eduardo Martínez with 1.3%, Enrique Márquez with 0.9%, José Brito with 0.8% and Daniel Ceballos with 0.7%.
71.6% believe that Nicolás Maduro will win on the coming July 28, while only 23.9% support the victory of Edmundo González.
When asked who would guarantee peace in the country after the elections, 61.1% believed that the government of Nicolás Maduro was right, while 35.1% believed it was the opposition government.
The survey also measured the feelings that the current situation conveys to Venezuelans, showing that 61.7% preferred positive emotions of hope, optimism and calm, while 35.3% expressed negative emotions of sadness, frustration or anxiety.
