The Professional Football League has confirmed that its official website had been hacked and has launched an investigation to determine who was behind the action, which it described as “illegal”.

The league’s statement said: “We informed the national sports public opinion that the official website of the National Professional Football League was hacked on this day, and the perpetrators deliberately modified some information on the website, especially the number of titles of Vidad Sports Club.”

And complete: “Finally, while we condemn this attempt to undermine the credibility of our institution, we stress that the name of the national club published on the official website of the National Professional Football League is the same as the name recognized by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and FIFA.”
