The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito dos Santos Freitas, accompanied the President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta, and his delegation on a state visit to Angola from 7 to 10 July, aimed at further strengthening the relations between the two countries. 
The Head of State and his delegation arrived at Luanda International Airport on 7 July and were greeted by Angolan Foreign Minister Tete Antonio and the Angolan Ambassador to Timor-Leste.
According to the official schedule, President José Ramos-Horta will hold a bilateral meeting with Angolan President Joao Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço on Monday, July 8. During this visit, Timor-Leste and Angola will also sign a cooperation protocol and other agreements.
From 5 to 6 July, at the official invitation of the President of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President José Ramos-Horta, accompanied by Minister Bendito Freitas and Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Mozambique, Luis Miguel, paid a state visit to Mozambique.
