A criminal case has been filed against Fawzan Musa Khan, a citizen of the Republic of Afghanistan, as a result of a preliminary investigation and has been sent to the Baku Serious Crimes Court for consideration.
A judicial investigation into criminal cases against accused foreigners, chaired by Judge Shalala Hasanova, will also be investigated.
The indictment states that Fazan Musa Khan, a citizen of the Republic of Afghanistan, born in 1990, conspired with others in advance to disrupt public stability in the country, create panic among the people, and influence the decision-making of national authorities and the international community. An organization has been identified that plans to commit terrorist acts and cause other accompanying dangerous situations to occur.
It is proved that the above-mentioned foreigner came to Azerbaijan from a foreign country with the intention of committing the above-mentioned criminal acts. While in Baku, he conducted observations around the embassy building to determine the coordinates of the territory where the embassy of a third country in our country is located and planned terrorist actions, and also made contacts and negotiations with persons who might be involved in terrorist acts.
Fawzan Musakhan was detained and held responsible as a defendant for the crime, and the court decided to choose the measure of pretrial detention. The National Security Agency’s Main Investigation Department has launched a criminal case.
