Mary hopes to continue serving the people in Parliament
One of the candidates representing the city of Kigali, who will be taking No. 14 on the ballot paper, said the administrative bodies he worked for allowed him to connect with different people, an experience that will help him advocate for them in parliament.
“I served the people as deputy mayor of the region, I served them in parliament, in those administrations I went through, the people came to me with problems. He was in parliament,” he said.
Maria’s experience is based on her knowledge, where she studied human relations and obtained a master’s degree.
He said his experience would help him continue to serve the people if he enters parliament.
He is the Pan-African Movement’s Commissioner for Education in Rwanda.
He said another thing that motivated him to run for parliament was his passion to serve the country, “Another thing that motivated me to run is that I have a passion for my country and I also feel that I want to continue to contribute to its reconstruction”.
He also said he liked the leadership of Paul Kagame, who led the fight to liberate the country and stop the genocide.
Mary is running for female representative for Kigali City
candidate, who conducted a study on domestic labor, said he hopes the work will be more valuable than the current situation, in which women working at home do a lot of the work but are treated like slaves.
The candidates who will compete in the women’s category in Kigali include Hashimwimana Jeannette, Umumeyi Adeline, Kanyange Phoibe, Umutoni Alice, Mukacondo Joyce, Kakuze Jesca, Gihana Donatha, Nyinawumuntu Gloriose, Nyiransabimana Florence, Uwingabire Liliane, Mukamurara Ernestine, Uwambaje Ernestine, Nyirakomari Emerienne, Murorunkwere Marie Chantal, Uwera Ndabazi Liliane and Uwamaria Marie Claire.
