Al-Wahdat announces formation of contracting committee

Today, Thursday, Jordan’s Wahdat announced the formation of the Player Contract Committee for its first football team, headed by Yasser Abu Sheikha.

Vahdat, through its official spokesman Awad Asmar, said that the club’s board of directors decided at a meeting today to form a contract committee for the football team next season, led by Bashar Hawamud.

The committee, headed by Abu Sheikha, includes: "Former players Osman Bahuma and Ashraf Shattat, lawyer Mustafa Dallas and first-team performance analyst Mohammed Al Barghouti.".

The committee has a responsibility to immediately start finalising agreements with some of the players whose contracts have expired or the clubs have recently wanted to sign.

In a related matter, Al Wahda’s board is expected to discuss the first-team technical staff profile at the meeting, with technical director Rafat Ali expected to retain his position next season.

Al-Wehdat successfully won the Cup Winners’ Cup and the Jordan Cup, and is looking forward to participating in the AFC Champions League next season.
