It is often said that science is inspired by science fiction movies. The concept of Her has indeed inspired me to explore the potential of emotional AI in people’s lives, hoping to provide sustainable, empathetic and unbiased support to those in need, navigate personal emotions and promote emotional BroadCast Unitedligence (EQ) development to cope with future life challenges. Therefore, this AI-based virtual character will not be a perfect partner tailored to the user’s appearance or personality preferences, but has its own identity and personality to provide help to the user.

When it comes to the emotional growth of teenagers, we have to mention the recently released “Inside Out 2”. In 2015, “Inside Out 2” divided the main emotional elements of the characters, “brain friends”, into five categories: joy, sorrow, hatred, anxiety, and fear. The author’s team has been inspired by many aspects of emotion, memory, and personal growth, and has incorporated them into the project.

In addition to designing a relatable character with a unique personality to enhance user connection and trust, our team also encourages users to explore and understand their emotions through role-playing and real-life applications by issuing tasks, and then uses emotion recognition technology to detect and respond to interactions. The team has developed interface tools including an emotion dashboard and memory map to help users track their emotional growth.
