On Thursday afternoon, the Don Elias Mansour Cup was officially inaugurated, paying tribute to the four strongholds of the famous sports club RCA.
Two ladies: Ina Caster and Janine Bergen (dfm) and two men: Eric Gomez and Karel Dirksz received the award. RCA manager Dennerich Kelly said that the club had done a lot of preparation to recognize the club’s contributions over the years.

He has many memories of his youth, when he himself played football for the club. Here, Kelly shows this, along with his grandfather (in fond memories) and Mrs. Caster (a leader at the RCA). He says he has many memories of Caster, always affectionately calling her “Mama Ina” After a while, Kelly’s brother also started playing football for the club and has memories of Mrs. Bergen (happy memories).
The slogan “RCA for life” was Bergen’s idea and is still used today at football matches played by RCA teams.

Kelly added that two other people who have contributed to the club’s history are Eric Gomez, affectionately known as “Dad Eric”, who was always available to help the club and was a man who was “not afraid of anything that day to help the sporting club”.
Another person who contributed to the club was Karel Dirksz, one of the people who helped build the current “clubhouse” at RCA.
