Fiji captain Penisoni Tirau won the Man of the Match award after scoring two goals against Tahiti in the Oceania Football Association U19 Men’s Championship opener in Apia, Samoa today.
The 18-year-old Xavier College boys captain and Ba football sharpshooter did not lose his composure or confidence despite missing a penalty earlier in the match as Fiji prevailed 3-1.
He also led the Young Bula Boys team perfectly and worked overtime to keep the Tahitian defence busy and engaged throughout the match.
