If I want to relax, I go to the kitchen. Working with food, being able to put something delicious on the table, all of that puts me in a good mood. I almost feel like I’m in a trance when I’m allowed to chop, stir, sizzle and grill. If the shopping bags are full and I stand at the kitchen counter for a long time, I feel good.
When I developed this summer’s tiramisu recipe, I was almost ecstatic. It combines all the elements to make a delicious dessert. What excited me was the fresh passion fruit, which adds a hint of exoticism to every dessert; the homemade lemon curd, which not only pairs well with the tiramisu but also tastes great on a Sunday breakfast roll; and the creamy mascarpone cheese.
