Citizen Hellen Sánchez, 33, was caught between life and death when she was hit by a red motorcycle driven by Miguel Hernández, 26, at kilometer 17 of the highway to Masaya.
It is understood that Helen Sanchez allegedly got off her motorcycle, wore a protective helmet and accidentally crossed the road, only to be hit by another metal vehicle driven by Miguel.
The injured woman was taken to Vivian Perlas Hospital, and state police agents are investigating further details of the accident.
