Inter BEE, Tokyo, Japan, Booth #3209 (November 15, 2023) – AJA Video Systems Today, AJA introduced the DRM2, a rack-mount frame that can accommodate and power up to 12 AJA Mini-Converters of any type, or up to 24 AJA FiDO Mini-Converters using the new optional DRM2 Y-cable. Featuring a 200-watt fanless power supply and a sleek 3RU design, the AJA DRM2 lets professionals rack-mount multiple AJA Mini-Converters for signal conversion needs, streamlining broadcast, production, and pro AV workflows. The new frame will be on display at the AJA booth (#3209) at Inter BEE 2023 in Tokyo this week.
The AJA DRM2 is the next generation of AJA’s popular DRM Mini-Converter rack and includes customer requested features such as a removable panel for quick rack access. The Mini-Converters are mounted on small brackets that can be easily installed or removed without removing the rack from the rack. 12 brackets are integrated and replacement brackets can be purchased individually or in packs of 12. The rack’s power harness has 13 D5/10-PC connectors that plug into the connectors on the power rack, allowing a custom cable to be created to meet any user requirement. The DRM2-AP model includes an optional active panel with four fans for maximum cooling in higher ambient temperatures, facilitating high-density installations without the worry of heat soak.

The AJA DRM2 will be available next month through AJA’s global network of resellers with a standard passive faceplate for an MSRP of $1,295, and the DRM2-AP with an active cooling faceplate for an MSRP of $1,495.
