The U.S. military is preparing for another major mission in the Northern Marianas, Operation HEALTH. This is their third time back to provide free medical services to the community. Operation HEALTH will take 150 service members to Rota, Tinian and Saipan to participate in innovative readiness training. “We are excited to be able to provide these services to the community at no charge,” said Maj. Kelvin Carter, IRT mission planner. “I talked about the services. We provide five areas of care to the community, first is health care, doing adolescent physicals and screenings. We will provide dental care. We will also provide veterinary care, behavioral health counseling and screenings. And lastly, optometry, which is eyeglass manufacturing.”
