Exclusive wine event in Dobra Hrana – Fruška Gora brings together renowned wine brands from Serbia and Croatia

In the beautiful surroundings of Fruška Gora, an exclusive three-day event brought together top winemakers and chefs from Serbia and Croatia. This unique event combined wine and gastronomy passion at the highest level. LU-MA Exclusiveis one of the leading professional distribution companies in Croatia, with a rich variety of domestic and foreign wines, and is the co-organizer of this event Elderwick WineryIts history dates back to 1826 and today it is a combination of modernity and tradition, producing top-quality wines entirely from its own vineyards on the right bank of the Danube.

Guests had the opportunity to taste a wide range of varieties, and the winemakers also demonstrated through their selections the richness and quality of the wine-growing traditions of these regions. He represents the wine and is respected along with the winemakers Sommelier Darko Lugarich.

Eight Croatian winemakers participated in the event: Kozlovich (Malvasia Selection 2021), Crothack (Glashevna Mitrovac 2021), Short Catalina (Rose 2023), Roxanich (Rovinj Special 2016), Zrvik (Malvazija Dubrovačka Tezoro 2023), Seibel (Rose Dry NV), Meneghetti (Red 2019), Telles (Traminac 2017) and 8 from Serbia: Kovacevic (2022 Chardonnay Organic Wine) Bikic (Orange 2021), Durek (Probus 276 2022), funeral (Tamjanika 2023), Virtus (Morava 2023), loading (Sophia Selection Pinot Noir 2020), Elderwick (Stifler’s Mom Shiraz 2020), Chisato (Lake Story 2019).

This unique winemakers’ gathering was not only a celebration of the quality of the wines, but also a culinary adventure, thanks to the great chefs from both countries. This was the first event that provided a platform for communication and sharing of experiences between Serbian and Croatian winemakers, all in the wonderful setting of Fruška Gora, and our goal is to bring together the best wines and gastronomy from our countries, from winemakers to partners like Oio Vivo, and we are proud to have succeeded in this regard, and to have the opportunity to host such gatherings in the future and to further strengthen the cooperation between our winemakers,” he said Ivan JurisicSales Manager at LU-MI.

Top chefs prepare special experiences for selected guests and winemakers. Denis SildochTwo-Michelin-starred chef, brand ambassador of the Orka Group (LU-MA is the exclusive subsidiary), and chef at the time Ivica Krasic chef Vladimir Protik From Serbia. These culinary masters have created sixteen unique and modern dishes inspired by tradition. Each dish is carefully paired with carefully selected wines to present a perfect harmony of flavors. Together, their team creates an unforgettable gastronomic experience that delights everyone present.

“Today’s event proves how rich our region’s gastronomic and wine treasures are. It’s an opportunity to connect, exchange experiences and inspire each other,” said chef Vladimir Protić.

After the opening event, the guests spent the next two days visiting the Deurić and Kovačević wineries. The Deurić winery has a modern production method, which can be seen in the use of the most modern materials in the winemaking process, and it is through this technology that nature and grapes are respected, and their wines have a special character that perfectly represents the climate of Fruska Gora and Mala Remeta as a micro location.

Kovacević Winery started production in 2001 when third generation winemaker Miroslav Kovacević took over the winery from his father. The winery features an old Irish wine cellar from 1930. Kovačević restored it to its former glory and resumed wine production. Another step in creating top wines is preserving traditions and returning to nature, so they are also committed to organic production.

The event not only celebrated the excellence of wine and gastronomy, but also strengthened the friendly relations between Serbia and Croatia, showing that the love for quality wine and gastronomy knows no borders, what should be supported, what should be worked on and strived for.
