The Cafés made the draw for the 2025 Canada-Morocco qualifiers in Johannesburg on Thursday, with Benin in Group D along with Rwanda, Nigeria and Libya. The Cheetahs will be reunited with Amaubi and Super Eagles, who were already in the same group in the Canada-USA-Mexico World Cup qualifiers.
The six CAN qualifiers will be played during the international breaks in September, October and November 2024, with two matches scheduled in each window. Remember, the top two teams in the group will qualify for the final stage, which will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. Benin has participated in the CAN four times, in 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2019. In the last edition, under the command of Michel Dussouille, Benin made a historic quarter-final in Egypt.
