Colombo, July 4 (Daily Mirror) – The Colombo High Court has ordered the freezing of 16 fixed deposit accounts and three insurance policies of the family of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, based on an application by the Bribery Commission.
The value of the frozen fixed deposit accounts and insurance policies is estimated to be Rs 931.25 lakh.
As a result, 16 fixed deposit accounts and three insurance policies of Keheliya’s spouse, three daughters and son-in-law were frozen for seven days.
Former Health Minister Rambukwella is currently in detention for allegedly purchasing substandard immunoglobulin injections.
The freezing order was obtained by the Bribery Commission pursuant to Section 53(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023 as
