Thug who stabbed schoolgirl arrested in Astana

— The Astana city Esil district police department is investigating a criminal case of attempted murder of an 18-year-old girl. The juvenile suspect has been arrested and is being held in a temporary detention center. All exams have been assigned. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

The girl is in grade 12 at a school in the capital. The man who ran away with the knife was less than 18 years old. The school management said the crime took place outside of school hours and the attacker had nothing to do with the school. The girl, who was admitted to the hospital with the knife wound, has changed since then. Today, doctors transferred her from the intensive care unit to the surgical ward. However, she is still under the control of some specialists. The grandmother saw the bleeding girl for the first time and called an ambulance.

— On May 26, a girl born in 2006 was taken to the city’s Second General Hospital by ambulance. Multiple stab wounds were found in the girl’s anterior abdomen. As part of the medical care provided to the girl, abdominal surgery was performed. Currently, the girl is in normal condition.
