Libreville, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 (Gabon News) – The President of the Transition, General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema, in his capacity as Supreme Commander of the Defense and Security Forces, presided over the presidential ceremony at the Corniche of the Royal Palace on July 1, 2024. The official uniforms of the 15 newly promoted general officers.
At the end of the ceremony of donning the insignia of military ranks, the head of state asked them to show dedication, self-sacrifice in service and, most importantly, discipline in order to better perform their service duties. Those promoted from the National Gendarmerie, the National Police Force and the Military Health Service were promoted to the ranks of Army General, Division General and Brigadier General, a supreme achievement that reflects their dedication to serving the country.
The ceremony for the general officers to wear the new stripes was carried out in accordance with Decree No. 0063/PT-PR/MDN on the appointment of general officers of the National Defense Forces in 2024 and Decree No. 0087/PT/MIS-CCFPN on the appointment of general officers of the National Police Force in 2024.
