Arrogant attitudes and tactics could destroy the NDP, July 6, Moment of Truth

The NDP will start its campaign on July 6. The question is: what will the NDP say and how will they do it? What will be their strategy and message? How will they try to maintain the current 12 seats (under the new arrangement) and not lose them, or even increase them?

Everything suggests that the NDP is in many ways worse off than it was in 2010 and 2015. The 10-seat defeat in 2020 should have given the NDP pause for thought and humility, and allowed them to return to a party where Bouterse not only stressed the strong solidarity of society but also allowed it to emerge.

The old NDP was the party that ensured unity and equality. What is the NDP now? Compared to 2020, the NDP has fallen even more.

As soon as people analyze or talk about the NDP, its true nature comes out. Then the arrogance rears its head and the template text they use is “The NDP is a big party and we have our own processes” or “People shouldn’t care about the NDP” or “We are busy and it will come out when we think about it so far.”

These arrogant leaders forget that the NDP is not a fishing club, it is a party seeking votes. You can seek those votes among your friend group, but then you stick with those 12 seats.

If you want more votes, you have to be willing to communicate openly. Political parties are a glass house and people want to be able to see into it. At least the sensible ones, not the stubborn “smart” types who believe and accept everything. The NDP considers itself a major party.

So what size are they? Is this the same size as in 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020? Why do they think their natural size is the same as in 2015? The NDP averaged 70,000 votes in the five elections.

If they could achieve the same things as they did in the good days of Bouterse, the strong leader, then we can more reasonably expect that this is the basis they have now. Now it doesn’t exist. The New Democracy of 2024 and the upcoming 2025 is nothing like the one of 2010 and 2015.

The NDP have forgotten why they were punished so harshly in 2020, by more than 52,000 votes. It’s easy to assume it was because of Santokhi’s lies. Everything suggests the NDP don’t want to understand what they did wrong, and it’s not just a story of borrowing too much money.

Maybe it’s time we reminded the NDP what they did wrong. Everything shows that the NDP is still arrogant because power went to their heads before 2020 and the intoxication has not worn off. They still walk around drunk and “rant” at everyone with arrogant remarks like “we are a big party”.

Maybe we should remind the NDP that there are other parties that were once major parties. Just look at the NPS circa 1975. Aron’s arrogance has minimized that party. In the Netherlands, the NPS was once a big and powerful party and its arrogance has marginalized them, and there are many more examples like this.

There is another good example closer to home, the NDP. What looks big does not always have to be and remains big. In March 2019, a year before the 2020 election, the NDP held a huge and well-attended mass meeting. You see how the black label of power intoxicated the top powers. They thought the spoils were inside. A year later the bill came and the penalty was 10 seats, or 52,000 votes! What looked big was actually empty.

On July 6, 2024, the NDP will be hoping to have another well-attended convention and match or exceed the VHP’s convention in May of this year to prove they are a major party. here Watch the March 2019 film and judge for yourself.

Let this prove to the NDP that a well-attended meeting on July 6 is not a benchmark for profits in 2025. Let this be a hint to them that they should not bring along “screamers” but people with substance.

The NDP better worry about why they are (1) growing, (2) staying stable, or (3) at risk of losing votes. They have good reason to worry, but well, I’d be a crazy hunky to advise them that, because they’re a big group and they make up their own mind when they say something. I don’t want to deprive sensible, pragmatic voters of the opportunity to do their analysis.

The current NDP is not the old NDP and they must realize this. The current NDP cannot control the racist sentiments among supporters and within the party, the current NDP has the wrong leaders, Simmons is pre-sorted compared to Bouterse, the current NDP is more concerned with throwing garbage and the whole butter mountain is in their heads, the melting point is that they completely lose sight of reality.

The current NDP is surrounded by the same financial cowboys that wreaked havoc before 2020. The current NDP is surrounded by roadside brawlers who hang around OCER all day hoping to eat ready-made food later. The current NDP has not changed a bit. Once they take power in 2025, everything will repeat itself, and probably in a worse form, because the hungry roadside brawlers and hyenas within the party are hungrier than in 2015 or 2020.

You can imagine how a hungry person with no integrity would behave when they see food. It would be a normal carnival.

The current NDP has not only dropped in votes and seats, but also in decency considering the type of people they surround themselves with and serve. The current NDP has the “wrong” types who destroy society with fake news, social media terror and trash talk while having more butter on their own heads than the entire EU butter mountain and doing it in the blazing sun in Suriname.

It’s dripping. I’m going to point out one of the types of errors here. Judge for yourself. If this is the strength and level of the NDP, then you already know what it will be.

Will the NDP participate in the 2025 election with substance and quality, or will it only be able to throw mud through these helpers? If Ading said that the power of lies lies not in content but in repetition, then Ading and others should not “take advantage” of those who spread and repeat lies themselves.

Then Ahim et al must present the truth spread by respected people and authority figures in society, not by roadside brawlers who right-thinking people simply do not respect or trust. But hey, who are we to tell them that? The NDP considers itself a big party and therefore can decide for itself.

Now it’s up to the wise (!) voters to decide.
