Little Reindeer – Netflix
This show may have made every TV list, but its story is fascinating, disturbing, and pretty unexpected.

It is said that this is adapted from a true story (This issue is currently being discussed) But this is a work with superb acting, smooth style and unique style. This is a work that I have never forgotten after watching it. For a while – Although I don’t recommend watching it before bed. If for no other reason – the consequences, Piers Morgan interview and potential lawsuit It’s been interesting to watch how it develops.
A Friend Like Her – Part 3
This local production puts the spotlight on a country we rarely see on screen – Kaikoura! Set in the aftermath of an earthquake, two best friends and a failed surrogacy deal – it’s full of messed up and flawed characters, and I loved it! The film has a great cast including Morganna O’Reilly and Jarrod Lavery. I devoured this film.

This documentary was a guilty pleasure for me – but I was pleasantly surprised and left wanting more.

With only three episodes, there’s no drag, the interviews are interesting and varied, giving you multiple perspectives on the chaos and constantly making you think “what would I do?”.
One Day – Netflix
I wasn’t a huge fan of the 2011 film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, so I hesitated for a long time before watching this series. However, the chemistry and performances of Ambika Moder and Leo Woodhall were just fantastic.

Both of these productions feature two best friends who get together on the same day every year. Anyone who has read or seen the book knows that it has its share of heartbreaking moments, so if you need a good cry, this is the one to watch.
The Spoils of War – S2 – Apple TV
If I had to sum up this show in one word, it would be joy. Maya Rudolph (you know her from Saturday Night Live and Bridesmaids) plays the wife of a billionaire who gets cheated on. Suddenly, she’s heartbroken, alone—but incredibly rich. While she always looks glamorous and has all the material possessions, she’s weird, insecure, and strangely normal, which is what makes the show so funny and enjoyable.
