Amrit Udyan will be open to the public from February 2, 2024

New Delhi: As per Udyan Utsav-1 2024, the Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open for public visits from February 2 to March 31, 2024. People can visit the Udyan six days a week, except Monday which is a maintenance day.

Amrit Udyan will be open for special categories on the following dates:

February 22 – People with disabilities

23 February – Defence, paramilitary and police personnel

March 1 – For women and tribal women self-help groups

March 5 – For children from orphanages

Visitors can visit in 6 sessions between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The capacity for the two morning sessions (10:00 am to 12:00 pm) is 7,500 visitors on weekdays and 10,000 visitors per session on weekends. The capacity for the four afternoon sessions (12:00 pm to 4:00 pm) is 5,000 visitors per session on weekdays and 7,500 visitors per session on weekends. Visitors entering directly must register at the convenience counter and the self-service kiosk near Gate 12 of the Istana.

All visitors’ entry and exit will be through the Istana Gate 35, which is near the intersection of North Street and the Istana. For the convenience of visitors, a shuttle service from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate 35 will run every 30 minutes from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

During the tour, visitors will pass by the bonsai garden, musical fountain, central lawn, long garden, circular garden, and there is a food court at the exit.

Visitors are allowed to bring mobile phones, electronic keys, wallets/handbags, baby water bottles and milk bottles. Drinking water, toilets and first aid/medical facilities will be available at various locations along the public route.
