Addis Ababa, June 29, 2024 (Address) Indian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed launched this year’s Green Legacy tree planting campaign in Haike, South Wollo Province, Amhara State.
He stressed that afforestation will not only green the country but also inject vitality into various sectors of the economy.
Prime Minister Abiy also visited development projects in and around Desi city.
He and senior federal government officials visited the Logo Hayk project, which is part of the Prime Minister’s “Eat for the Nation” project to develop Wollo and its surrounding areas into a tourist destination.
“During our visit, we saw a lot of impressive work being done across the country. There is no doubt that if we work together, we will hand over a prosperous Ethiopia to our children and grandchildren,” Prime Minister Abiy said on social media.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tirunel arrived in Desi this morning.
