Police have identified 12 individuals, including the organisers of the “Perhimpunan Aman Demi Negara” rally held at the public carpark in front of Seri Perdana Building in Section 19, Putrajaya yesterday.

(TMI)—— Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Mohd Isa said they would soon be summoned to the police station to record witnesses.

“Police have launched an investigation under Section 9(5) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012,” he said in a statement today.

Rusti said the organisers did not obtain permission under the Peaceful Assembly Act (Act 736) to hold the event as the landowner, Putrajaya Corporation, did not grant it permission.

Rusti had previously warned organisers that they would be breaking the law if they went ahead with the rally as it failed to obtain the consent of the landowner, Putrajaya Corporation, as required under the Peaceful Assembly Act (Act 736).

About 200 people attended yesterday’s rally.
